Letham4All has launched its Christmas Meal Gift 2026 campaign, calling on the local community to help raise £8,000 to support families across Perth this Christmas.
Last year, the initiative supported 134 households, including 213 adults and 315 children, helping families manage some of the additional financial pressure that comes with the festive period. A further 18 young people in the community were supported with freshly cooked Christmas dinners, fruit and Christmas Treat Bags.
Now we’re asking you, our community, to help us do it again.
Giving families choice this Christmas
At the heart of this year’s Christmas Meal Gift will be supermarket food vouchers. We provide £7.50 per person, allowing families to choose culturally appropriate food for their own festive meal.
The voucher system was introduced last year and proved particularly valuable. Rather than giving every household the same food, families were able to choose what suited them, including food appropriate for allergies, dietary requirements and their own Christmas traditions.
Families also told us that being able to choose how they used their vouchers meant the support could sometimes stretch beyond Christmas Day.
One recipient told us: “The vouchers were a real bonus and helped us beyond the big day”. Another said: “The Christmas Meal Gift helped us more than you can ever begin to imagine”.
Help fill our Christmas Treat Bags
Alongside the food vouchers, we’re once again preparing Christmas Treat Bags. We’ve created an Amazon Wish List containing many of the items we need, giving supporters another simple way to get involved.
The list includes Christmas chocolates, hot chocolate, toiletries, colouring and activity books, puzzles and small festive treats. Supporters can purchase an item directly from the Wish List, helping us build the hundreds of bags needed for this year’s campaign.

The Christmas Meal Gift has always been a community effort. Local organisations, businesses, churches, volunteers and individuals have come together year after year to make it possible.
The feedback we received after last Christmas showed just how much that support meant. One family told us: “It eased the cost of shopping for me”. Another described the support simply as: “A lifeline”.
