SUMMER FUN AT THE HUB

Help reduce food waste by volunteering with Letham4All’s Community Fridge

Letham4All is looking for friendly volunteers and drivers to support its Community Fridge, helping reduce food waste while making a real difference to people across the local community.

The Community Fridge provides a place where surplus food can be shared rather than thrown away, helping local people while preventing perfectly good food from going to waste.

Volunteers play an important role in keeping the project running smoothly. There are a variety of ways to get involved, whether you enjoy meeting people, staying organised, or getting out and about.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Welcoming visitors to the Community Fridge.
  • Restocking, cleaning, and helping keep the fridge organised.
  • Collecting food donations from local supermarkets and businesses.
  • Delivering donations to The Hub.
  • Flexible volunteering to fit around your availability.

Letham4All is particularly keen to hear from drivers with access to a car or van, although anyone who is friendly, reliable, and wants to help their community is encouraged to get involved.

By volunteering, you’ll be helping to reduce food waste, support local people, and contribute to building a stronger, more connected Letham community.

Anyone interested in becoming a Community Fridge volunteer can contact The Hub by emailing reception@letham4all.org.uk or calling 01738 444061.
