Letham4All needs your vote! We’ve reached the public voting stage of the Green Living Fund 2026/27, and we’re asking our community to help us secure funding for a greener, more sustainable future at The Hub.
We’re hoping to secure £7,494 towards installing additional solar panels and battery storage at Letham Community Wellbeing Hub. It’s an important step towards reducing our energy bills, lowering our carbon footprint and ensuring more of our money goes directly towards supporting local people.
With public voting now open until Monday 23 November 2026, we need your help to make it happen.
Lower Bills Mean More Support
Keeping The Hub running is expensive. Our annual electricity bill currently stands at around £40,000, a significant cost for a community charity providing essential services and activities.
By making better use of our available roof space for solar panels and introducing battery storage, we hope to generate more of our own electricity and reduce the amount we need to purchase.
“Our wider renewable energy plans could potentially reduce electricity costs by as much as 75%”
Our wider renewable energy plans could potentially reduce electricity costs by as much as 75%, representing an estimated saving of £30,000 every year once fully implemented.
Just imagine the difference that money could make!
Instead of spending it on electricity, those funds could help us continue providing free and low-cost community activities, affordable food, advice, support and opportunities for local people to come together.
It’s about making The Hub more environmentally friendly while protecting the services that so many people rely on.
Our Place Our Future
The Green Living Fund supports community projects that address climate change while also helping people with the cost of living.
We’re delighted that our application has progressed to the public voting stage, but now we need the support of our community.
This project is about more than installing solar panels. It’s about making The Hub financially sustainable for years to come, ensuring it remains a welcoming and accessible place for everyone.
Every vote could help us take another step towards that goal.
